Recently had 4 day downtime / crash and links restored were from maybe 6 months prior. (yes I know my responbility to backup my links .using Google cache to save some). So thinking of moving to magadoo as I really like this one.

Here's my suggestions:

1) Login: if possible just have user login with no username or password in the url (even though it's encoded).

2) Organize Categories - presently you have it so one can drag and drop categories if they choose {categories} for options. This is awesome if there was a way to save the state after reorganizing that'd be fantastic.

Now if there isn't a way to do that perhaps you could just have a option to hide the first three characters of the category field. 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006 we could input and that'd be a way to prioritize the categories we want at the top. Top 10 I'm aware of but have many more I wish near the top.

3) Perhaps just have the Private icon clickable to toggle private / public. Or just allow us to select which links (like you do with batch move, batch delete) to set to private or set to public. Currently this wouldn't be an issue if one could just set everything to public then selectively choose which ones to remain private. But it is opposite one sets public and the individual option to set to private doesn't exist when you edit the link.

Have to say this is a top-notch bookmarking for sure. So many like those tree views which I think is poor and takes time when one can just put all links on one page and scroll to find them quickly and easily. Thanks for this free site much appreciated.

thank you for your comments about magadoo.

1. The encoded string in the url of your linklist does not represent your password. Even though this is encoded too, magadoo uses another encoding for the linklist.

2. I did not find a effective way to save the state of the categories after moving by the users. But I do think about your suggestion of hiding the leading characters of a category name.

3. There is already an option to set the marked links to private or public. You find this at the bottom of the tree structure in the link management.
